Zynga Appoint Former Ea Games Exec As Ceo

Brings 25-years of gaming industry experience to the table

Social gaming firm Zynga announced the appointment of former Electronic Arts executive and current board member Frank Gibeau as chief executive officer.
Mark Pincus, founder and current chief executive officer, will return to serving as executive chairman of the board.
Gibeau has a proven 25-year track record having helped architect the successful turnaround of Electronic Arts as the President of EA Labels and more recently navigating the company's platform transition efforts as EVP of EA Mobile, Pincus said in an e-mail to staff earlier this week. "In our industry he's known for driving operational excellence and leading winning teams on both the publishing and studio side of the gaming business".
Gibeau will lead strategy and execution within the company and will report to the Zynga Board.
