Revenue keeps rising
Figures for gambling operations in the state of Nevada during the month of May 2017 have been released by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, showing that revenues rose year-on-year by 3.5 percent.
Revenues for May came in at $991.6 million (May 2016: $957.9 million) with the biggest contribution coming from slots at $647.2 million, followed by table games on $344.4 million.
Las Vegas Strip casinos reported revenue up almost 3 percent year-on-year, and while the Downtown establishments performed better with a y-o-y rise of 9.5 percent.
Taxes to the state amounted to $52.3 million – an increase of 2.6 percent on that recorded last year.
