Pennsylvania Online Gambling Bill Delayed To Next Year (update)

Fiscal budget debates and late amendments put HB649 on the back burner for now

Pennsylvania House staffers working for Representative John Payne have advised the online publication Card Player that Payne's HB649 online gambling legalisation proposal, held up by state budget disagreements and late amendments (see previous InfoPowa reports) will not be voted on this year despite having successfully progressed through the committee stage (see previous InfoPowa reports).
The bill is now on the back burner but will be considered further next year, staffers said. The online gaming measure will be reviewed along with the state's pension issue, Card Player was told.
