Muckleshoot Casino launches online app in a decidedly hostile anti-online gambling US state
Washington State land casino operator Muckleshoot has launched what it claims is an innovative online gambling app which requires that all wins are paid out at its physical venue.
Presumably the requirement is based on the state of Washington’s notoriously tough anti-online gambling laws despite the legal status of almost every other form of gambling in the northern state.
Games for the smartphone based app must be purchased on the Muckleshoot premises and any winnings must be redeemed there as well.
The casino worked with Playport Gaming Systems to create the new app, which focuses on games like Bingo where players are not competing against the house.
Playport already offers its technology services in Mexican retail networks, but hopes that its partnership with Muckleshoot will allow it to bring the product to tribal casinos in the US. Casinos can choose to custom design the app and games are reportedly easily integrated within a venue’s POS or loyalty system.
“National studies show tribal casino customers are 200 percent more likely to buy games at retail stores than any other product sold at retail,” said Jim Nulph, VP product management at Playport Gaming Systems.
“Playport will support the sale of hundreds of game themes and play styles that are new to the Muckleshoot Casino floor yet already familiar to guests.”
