The Major League Baseball have this morning announced a multiple year deal with sports betting operator Fox Bet, which will see the Fox owned sports betting site become the official gaming partner of the MLB.
Fox Bet which is a joint venture between Fox Sports and The Stars Group, will now also be able to feature Major League Baseball branding across their sites and apps.
Speaking about the multi year deal with MLB, Fox Bet’s Chief Executive, Robin Chhabra, said: “We continue to see a great appetite for the Fox Bet app as well as Fox Sports Super 6.”
“Having a partnership with MLB enables us to use official MLB data and league marks, providing a better experience for our customers and comes just in time as the League Championship Series and the World Series kick into high gear.”
Kenny Gersh, MLB’s executive vice president for gaming and new business ventures, said of the deal with Fox Bet: “Adding The Stars Group and Fox Bet to our authorized gaming operator program continues our vision for ensuring we are serving fans with opportunity and choice.”
“Our official data feed, including real time and reliable game statistics, and league marks will enable The Stars Group to build unique and engaging gaming products around our sport.”
The deal with Fox Bet, is the fourth such venture the MLB have taken out with gaming companies and follows their FanDuel back in August. FanDuel, like The Stars Group are both owned by Flutter Entertainment, the company behind Paddy Power and Betfair.
