MGM Resorts International have confirmed the appointment of William Hornbuckle as the permanent Chief Executive Officer and President of the Group, with Hornbuckle having filled both roles on an interim basis since March this year.
Hornbuckle had been appointed as Acting CEO and President of MGM Resorts International since March this year after the departure of former Chairman and CEO Jim Mirren. This announcement from MGM Resorts International comes as the group continues to battle the Covid-19 / Coronavirus pandemic and the negative impact it has wrecked on the business.
Commenting on the announcement makinmg Hornbuckle’s positions permanent, Paul Salem the Chairman of the company’s board said: “After a thorough national search, the board unanimously concluded that Bill is the best candidate to lead MGM Resorts through these immensely challenging times and into a more promising future.”
MGM Resorts International are also expected to announce later today their quarterly results.
