Wins first bracelet and $1.2 million in prize money
Former financial analyst, Canadian Pablo Mariz has outplayed 7,758 paid entries to win Event 20, the WSOP $1,500 No-Limit Millionaire Maker.
It’s Mariz’ second deep run in this season at the Rio, his first saw him finish as a runner-up with David Guay in Event 10, the $1,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold’em.
Mariz made short work of Dejuante “D.J.” Alexander during heads-up play to win the top prize, title and his first WSOP career bracelet.
