Proposes exclusion of internet gambling from gambling offenses legislation
New legislation, House Bill 562, has been introduced into the New Hampshire Legislature by Republican representatives Eric Schleien, Robert Fisher, and Nick Zaricki which takes an interesting approach to legalising internet gambling by having it excluded from the gambling offenses list in the New Hampshire Revised Statues Criminal Code.
The bill, currently sitting before the Ways and Means Committee, proposes the amendment of the gambling offenses list RSA 647:2,V with the insertion of a new exclusion sub-paragraph that reads:
(d) Gambling done over an Internet connection on a website on the Internet.
If passed, the proposal sets January 1, 2018 as the implementation date.
