Americas Cardroom Under DDOS Attack Again

Online poker operator pauses tournament

Americas Cardroom, in the past a frequent target for Distributed Denial of Service attacks (see previous InfoPowa reports), was targeted again this week by unknown parties, causing it to suspend an ongoing series of online tournaments.

The attacks, which were successfully repulsed, took place on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night, with cardroom management subsequently advising players:

“As you are aware we are experiencing a DDOS attack. We have now mitigated this attack. We will resume once we see players retaking their seats. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.”

The company has not commented furtheron the incident.
