Yesterday Thursday 22nd August, bet365 went live with their online sportsbook operation in the US State of New Jersey. With the iGaming giant’s twitter feed stating: “The new bet365 site is going through a pre-live phase and is only available during certain time periods. It is now available to register for an account within the US, however to engage in wagering you must be physically located in the state of New Jersey.”
bet365 will be joining the likes of Unibet who started accepting sports bets in New Jersey back in June and is a move that has been long on the cards. Indeed upon visiting the bet365 site from within the US, you are greeting by a splash screen announcing the fact that the company is licensed and ready to take bets in New Jersey.
Using their own proprietary in house sports book software, the bet365 New Jersey site is geared up for taking bets on US Sports, such as football and Major League Baseball.
No doubt now residents of New Jersey can expect other big European operators to join the likes of bet365 and Unibet before them, operating in New Jersey.
