Draftkings the daily fantasy sports contest and sports betting provider went live with their app in the state of Iowa on Wednesday, being made available through the company’s three Wild Rose Casino sportsbook properties in the state.
To be able to use the app, consumers must first of register in person at any of the three Wild Rose casinos located in Clinton, Emmetsburg and Jefferson. However, from 1st January 2021, the requirement to sign up in person will no longer be applicable.
Once registered, customers will then be able to bet on the go on a variety of sports, which include football, baseball, golf and college football. New customers signing up to Draftkings are also eligible to receive a new player sign up bonus of up to $1,000.
Matt Kalish, Draftking’s founder and North American President, commenting on the launch of the mobile app in Iowa, stated: “It never hurts to have multiple options.We are all for more competition, and we feel we have the best product in the market.”
“We want to compete for a decent-sized share of the pie.”
