Internet Gambling For New Jersey Racetracks Passes In State Assembly (Update)

Approval permits tracks to partner with Atlantic City casinos to offer online gambling facilities

On Thursday the New Jersey House of Assembly wasted little time in debating and voting on bill AB 4255, a proposal that state race tracks be permitted to offer internet gambling facilities provided this is done in partnership with Atlantic City casinos (see previous InfoPowa report).

Members of the House voted 60 vs. 12 for the proposal with a single abstention.

The state Senate has not yet scheduled a vote on the measure, which is being considered in a committee.
