Gaming revenue in the state of Nevada was on the rise for the month of June, with the state reporting an 11% rise compared to the previous year to $1.04bn for the month of June.
Accounting for the majority of all revenue generated in the state for the month of June, revenue on the strip in Las Vegas amounted to $906.6m, a rise of some 17% on the previous year.
Once again slot machines turned out to be the most popular choice of game, whereby they alone accounted for over half the revenue generated by the entire state for June, accruing over $600m . in revenue.
Another area Nevada scored well at was in sports betting, with the state once again returning to the top spot having been overtaken in May by New Jersey. Sports book revenue accounted for $16.6m for the month of June.
