Parx Casino Lobbies For Limit On iGaming Skins In Pennsylvania

To prevent a sub-licensing system that may dilute PGCB’s authority

Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, Inc., owner and operator of Pennsylvania casino gaming complex Parx Casino, is lobbying the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) for a one skin/brand limit per license for interactive gaming operators along with four other considerations.

GGE recommends in a letter to the PGCB “one skin per Certificate Holder, with the different categories of interactive games the Certificate Holder is authorised to offer on that single skin limited to the different categories of interactive games approved in its Interactive Gaming Certificate (s),” to stop the creation of a sub licensing regime that it says transfers licensing authority from the PGCB to the Certificate Holder.

In addition, GGE recommends the Board require that any branding associated with skins match the brand on the Certificate Holder’s commercial casino operating under its PGCB slot machine license.

GGE also wants interactive gaming employees and interactive gaming devices and associated equipment to be located within Pennsylvania.

The company also requests the PGCB permit certificate holders and IGOs to enter into revenue sharing arrangements with providers interactive gaming content.

Last but not least, GGE recommends the PGCB establish a synchronised start date for the commencement of interactive gaming operations by Certificate Holders that apply within a particular window.
