Good news for Pennsylvania with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reporting an increase in slot machine revenue for the month of May. With revenues showing an increase of 2.7% on the previous year.
According to the report, the combined gross revenue from slot machines at the 12 casinos in May of this year was $209,579,851.21, 2.7% higher than the May 2018 gross revenue figure of $203,993,259.
The average number of slot machines operating throughout Pennsylvania was 25,168 in May 2019 compared to 25,840 in May 2018.
Pennsylvania has also proven to be a key state for online operators to get involved in, with NetEnt being awarded an Interactive Gaming Manufacturer Conditional License by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, back in March.
Indeed, due to the increased popularity of gaming online in the state, the PGCB at the end of May 2019 launched a self exclusion tool, providing online players the facility to exclude themselves from all Pennsylvania licensed iGaming operators.
