Raina Wins Wsop $2,500 No-limit Hold'em

First gold bracelet and a $456,822 payday

Gaurav Raina outplayed a large field of 1,068 to defeat James Calvo in heads play during an unscheduled, extra decider day in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Event 29, the $2,500 No-Limit Hold'Em earning himself a pay day of $456,822.
This is Raina's first WSOP career gold bracelet and his fourth WSOP cash.
"[The final table] was loaded with some good players and a few loose cannons," Raina said. "Everybody just played their game and fortunately for me, everybody got lots of hands to kill each other with and I just kind of sat there in the midst of the crossfire. I found myself just laddering up payjumps and all of a sudden, I'm heads-up. I don't even know how it happened, but there it was."
