Pioneering move is delivering new customer sign-ups for the land operation
A pioneering move into i-gaming is paying off for Atlantic City-based Resorts Casino, which reports that its dedicated on-premises iGaming Lounge is proving popular and delivering more punter sign-ups for the land operation than anticipated.
Reporting on the facility for Online Poker Report this week, gaming journalist Steve Ruddock said the 24/7 well-staffed iGaming Lounge is equipped to offer access to the internet and Resorts websites either via company mobile loan devices or for visitors who have their own tablets or smartphones… and additions planned for the near future include virtual sports provided by the Inspired group on a large flat-screen across one wall of the lounge.
Whilst the facility is a cool place to relax during the day, at night – and especially over weekends – it becomes a hive of activity and music is pumped in for the younger demographic who have found the venue so appealing.
The iGaming Lounge has two touch screen communal tables, where groups can sit together and play online, and all activity is regulated by the respected New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
The facility is run for Resorts by EA Gaming Consultancy, who's CEO Ed Andrewes told Ruoddock that the goal is customer acquisition, and in that sense the iGaming Lounge is performing better than expected.
He said that future expansion plans for the lounge include the Inspired-supplied big-screen virtual sports, a cashier and possibly a bar service.
