Mike Wattel has taken down the 2017 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Event 72, $10,000 Seven-Card Stud Championship, to earn his second career WSOP gold bracelet and a $245,451 pay check.
A loaded final table saw seven of the eight players previous bracelet winners but ultimately it was Wattel who emerged victorious from six-hour heads up play with Chris Ferguson, breaking an 18-year dry run since his first WSOP bracelet win in 1999.
